Take Down – Recurve bow

Description

This 3-part recurve bow with fine wood lamination and glass-fibre reinforced limbs is available in different lengths and tensile strengths. Especially suitable for beginners. Of course, it can also be used by any other shooter. The limbs are black and made of wood covered with fibreglass laminate.

As a principle: It is better to choose a slightly longer bow, as this condones mistake in the shooting technique.

Another possibility is the selection according to the personal extension length:
Simple method: Extend both arms to the side – Divide total span in cm by 2.5 = extension length in cm. If you need in inches – divide again by 2.54.

Our recommendation for the draw weight:

Draw weight for men:
14-20 lbs. for teenagers up to 12 years old
20-28 lbs. for seldom sportsmen and women
28-32 lbs. for sporty men
32-40 lbs. for active sports man

Traction weight for women:
10-16 lbs. for teenagers up to 12 years old
16-24 lbs. for seldom sportsmen and women
24-28 lbs. for sporty women
28-34 lbs. for active sports women

Right-handed or left-handed:
It’s always the string drawing hand that matters. If you hold the bow in your left hand and pull it with the right hand (like a normal right-handed person), then you need a right-hand bow, otherwise it is the other way round (mostly for left-handers)
