Are you looking for a suitable pole? Then you are at the right place.

What you should know:

Many people think of a pole with a line at the front when spin fishing because the pole has neither rings, handles nor reel. But there is much more behind the coarse fishing! It is about fishing with precision and catching large quantities of fish using a variety of techniques.

A few questions in advance, which should be answered before buying.

Which fish do I catch with a pole?

Mainly, poles are designed for catching small coarse fish or white fish. These include:

  • Rudd
  • Bream
  • Small carp
  • Tench
  • Roach
  • Trout

Because there is no reel on the rod and therefore it is not possible to unravel the fish, it is neither advisable nor appropriate to fish for big fish with a pole.

On which waters do you fish with a pole?

You can fish with a pole on almost any water. However, canals, streams and smaller lakes with shallow depths and high whitefish stocks are particularly suitable. Of course, it is also possible to dunk at larger rivers and streams. However, as a beginner, it is best to find your way around small still waters to achieve the first successes.

Main characteristics of a pole

The only properties of such a rod are in terms of material and length. The rods are made of carbon fibre and glass fibre. Usually the carbon rods are more expensive because they also have a higher load capacity and stability.

Length

Poles are available in lengths of 3-16 meters. Here you should decide what is suitable for you and the water to be fished.
