The ASP Ultra-Cuffs are an innovation in the field of restraint technology; with material development, clever design and a few little tricks, a series of handcuffs has been brought onto the market that literally makes everything that came before it look outdated. The Ultra-Cuffs come in various material combinations (here aluminium and steel combined) and with various connections – chain, hinged or rigid. The article offered here has an immovable, rigid centre part between the two bows, making it an important alternative, especially in difficult situations and when resistance is required.
The secure structure of the Ultra-Cuffs with rigid middle section stabilises impacts and is definitely the most restrictive design in the ASP Tactical Series. The bridge that connects the two bows is ergonomically shaped and therefore easy to grip: The contoured hand guard reduces the risk of injury when using the handcuffs and also makes the grip more secure. Like all ASP Tactical handcuffs, the Rigid Design is made from a forged 7075 aluminium frame, which is flat in profile and exceptionally light. The tapered bows and flat profile, as well as the rounded edges, make the handcuffs particularly smooth-running and easy to handle. The radius-shaped design reduces the potential for injury from excessive transverse stress.
Thanks to a double keyway – both sides of the handcuffs can be operated – and a clearly visible double-lock indicator, the handcuffs are much easier to use.
The thin, lightweight rigid cuffs of the ASP Ultra Cuffs series are not only a step forward in terms of weight and ease of movement, they are also a new benchmark in terms of controllability.
