The aluminium ASP Ultra Cuffs already set a new standard in terms of design, technology, features and application of restraints. Now the Ultra Plus handcuffs are raising the bar even higher with an important new feature: keyless double locking. The double locking mechanism\u2014a crucial step to ensure both the safety of the person and the officers – is easily and instantly achieved by pressing the double locking bar with a fingertip. The bar is colour-coded for quick visual status recognition: Once the handcuffs are on and adjusted, press the bar. Moreover, since a key is no longer required when applying the handcuffs, it is even safer for everyone involved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Apart from the revolutionary keyless double locking system, the \u2018Plus Cuffs\u2019 have the same features that make the ASP Ultra Cuffs the non plus ultra among handcuffs:<\/span><\/p>\n

Forged aluminium frame: Forged from weapon grade 7075 T6 aluminium, the Ultra Cuffs frames are rigid and incredibly strong, yet lightweight. The forging process\u2014unlike the stamped steel parts of other restraints\u2014also eliminates rough or sharp edges; the smooth, rounded Ultra Cuff frame is more ergonomic and safer for both the officer and the restrained individual.<\/span><\/p>\n

The geometry of the clip adapts to a wider range of wrists and the flat contact surface improves application speed and accuracy. The clip are also highly rounded to prevent injuries. Ultra Cuffs are available with either steel or aluminium clips to further reduce stress.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bilateral, unidirectional rotating keyways: Ultra Cuffs have keyways on both sides of each frame, and both the primary lock and the double lock are released by turning the key in one direction. Double locks can be released and re-engaged with the key without releasing the cuff clips, allowing for safe and easy adjustment. All these functions make putting on and removing the cuffs quicker and easier.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interchangeable locksets: The locks are standardised and interchangeable. This allows them to be serviced on site if required and offers the unique ability to swap locksets to suit the preferences of different authorities or to switch to a high security configuration.<\/span><\/p>\n
