The History<\/h1>\n

1969<\/h2>\n

mb-microtec was established by Oskar Th\u00fcler: inventor and producer of trigalight\u00ae, the in-house self-illumination technology.<\/p>\n

1989<\/h2>\n

Development and introduction of the fi rst selfilluminated watch by mb-microtec, the P6500 Type 6, and its supply to the US Army. The main driver was the US Army\u2019s request to develop a functional instrument according to their MIL-W-46374F military specifi cations. This ulminated in the birth of the brand \u201ctraser\u201d.<\/p>\n

1997<\/h2>\n

Product placement in the movie \u201dG.I. Jane\u201d, starring Demi Moore \u2013 an American action movie directed by Ridley Scott. It tells the fi ctional story of the fi rst woman to undergo training in the U.S. Navy Special Warfare Group.<\/p>\n

2010<\/h2>\n

The famous Japanese actor Yuji Oda wore the P6500 Type 6 in the police movie \u201dBayside Shakedown 3\u201d.<\/p>\n

\nTechnology<\/h1>\n

trigalight\u00ae consists of hermetically sealed systems, which function entirely without the need for external light or energy sources.<\/p>\n

PRODUCTION PROCESS:<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>STEP 1: FORMATION OF GLASS PIPES<\/h3>\n

Glass pipes are heated and then forged into the desired diameter. The smallest achievable inner diameter being 0.1 mm, which is about the diameter of a hair.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>STEP 2: COATING PROCESS<\/h3>\n

A coating is applied on the inside of the pipes. This coating is available in all colours of the rainbow, with green being the most impactful one.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>STEP 3: TRITIUM FILLING<\/h3>\n

In a very delicate process, the pipes are filled with tritium gas (chemical element H3).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>STEP 4: LASER CUTTING PROCESS<\/h3>\n

The pipes are then cut to the desired length and sealed by very sophisticated laser machines.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, each pipe undergoes a strict quality control.<\/p>\n
