Depending on the product, this works in one of four ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Badges with engraving:<\/strong> you enter your text directly on the product page. You&#8217;ll find all engravable badges in the <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/badges\/\">badge overview<\/a>, for example for fire brigades, paramedics or security services.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Name tags<\/strong> (name badges, desk name plates and door plates): enter your text directly on the product page. <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/product-category\/name-tags\/\">Go to name tags<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Custom metal badges:<\/strong> designed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/badge-designer\/\">Badge Designer<\/a>, with your own logo and choice of font.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Velcro labels and magnetic signs:<\/strong> designed in the online designer directly on the product page: <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/product\/108158\/customised-velcro-label\/\">design a Velcro label<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/product\/123857\/magnetic-panels-in-various-sizes-for-all-types-of-vehicle\/\">design a magnetic sign<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Equipment can also be partly personalised: many vests and jackets have a Velcro panel for a personalised Velcro label. For organisations and companies, we also make clothing to order by arrangement, from jackets to trousers.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How does the Badge Designer work?&#8221;]In the <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/badge-designer\/\">Badge Designer<\/a>, you first register with your contact details. You then choose the basic shape of your badge from 20 templates. Next, you select the material, banner colour, font and font colour, enter up to four lines of text and upload your logo if needed. The preview shows your badge as you go.<\/p>\n<p>Please note: your design reaches us as an enquiry and does not go through the cart. We review it and send you a binding quote. A deposit of CHF 500 is due before our graphic designer starts work.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How much does a custom metal badge cost?&#8221;]A custom-designed badge costs CHF 68 per piece. A deposit of CHF 500 for the artwork and the stamping die is due before work begins. For fewer than 50 pieces, it covers the artwork and tooling costs. From 50 pieces, it counts as a deposit and is credited to you in full on the final invoice, so the artwork and die cost you nothing. We keep the stamping die for you: if you reorder the same badge later, there are no further tooling costs. You&#8217;ll receive the binding price with our quote.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Is there a minimum order quantity?&#8221;]No. You can also order a single piece. For custom metal badges, the one-off tooling cost weighs more heavily on small quantities; from 50 pieces, it no longer applies. For larger quantities, we&#8217;ll be happy to send you a quote at a preferential price.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Which files can I upload for my logo?&#8221;]You can upload your logo as a JPG, PNG or GIF. A large, sharp file with clear outlines works best. If you have a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF), please also send it to us by email \u2013 that gives the best result. If your artwork isn&#8217;t suitable for a clean result, we&#8217;ll contact you before production.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Will I receive a sample or a proof in advance?&#8221;]For custom metal badges, our graphic designer creates a true-to-scale draft from your design. Up to three revisions are included in the price; if more are needed, the artwork and tooling costs rise to CHF 600. Once you&#8217;ve approved it for production, we make the stamping die. A sample is included in the price.<\/p>\n<p>For engravings, name tags, Velcro labels and magnetic signs, you receive the artwork for approval. There is no sample: once you&#8217;ve approved it, we produce the final version directly.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How long does it take to make personalised products?&#8221;]Made-to-order items such as badges, Velcro labels or name tags need production time on top of the delivery time, usually 2\u20133 weeks. For custom metal badges, production only starts once you&#8217;ve given your approval. All times are estimates.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Can I return personalised products?&#8221;]Made-to-order products are excluded from the right of return, as they are made especially for you. Please check your details and your approval carefully. If we make a production error, we&#8217;ll of course find a solution.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Can you create a coat of arms, logo or emblem for us?&#8221;]Yes. If you don&#8217;t have print-ready artwork, we&#8217;ll prepare your coat of arms or logo for production. Send us whatever you have \u2013 even a photo or a printout is a good starting point. We&#8217;ll get back to you with a proposal and the cost involved.[\/vc_toggle][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"sortiment\">Products and range<\/h2>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Can I buy an official or police badge as a private individual?&#8221;]Some of our badges are freely available, others are reserved for members of the organisation concerned. The <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/badges\/\">badge overview<\/a> shows this at a glance. \u201cBadge for the general public\u201d marks badges without a protected logo, for example for volunteer fire brigades, ambulance or security services, sheriff badges or police badges without a logo. Anyone can order these. \u201cBadge for members only\u201d marks badges with a protected logo, such as that of the Zurich Cantonal Police. They are available exclusively to members of the organisation concerned.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;What is the difference between Metal Badge and Security Factory?&#8221;]Both ranges belong to the same company. Metal Badge offers badges, leather cases and personalisable signs. Security Factory covers equipment, clothing, watches and outdoor items. You order both in the same online shop and receive them in one delivery.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;I can&#8217;t find my country or profession \u2013 is it still possible?&#8221;]Our range is growing all the time. If you can&#8217;t find a particular country, organisation or profession, just ask us. Many items can be made on request. If you would like a personalised quote, please include the following in the <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/contact\/\">contact form<\/a>: the product, the quantity and the date you need it by.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How do I find the right leather case for my badge?&#8221;]That&#8217;s easy: our badges fit all of our <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/product-category\/metal-badge-en\/leather-cases-without-badge\/\">leather cases<\/a>. In our showroom in Arth-Goldau, you can see and try on a large part of our range. The showroom is open by appointment \u2013 please book ahead. There you enter your contact details and billing address, choose a payment method and complete your order. You&#8217;ll then receive a confirmation by email.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Do I need a customer account?&#8221;]No, you can also order as a guest. If you order from us regularly, an account is worthwhile: you can see your previous orders and don&#8217;t have to enter your address every time.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;I&#8217;ve forgotten my password \u2013 what can I do?&#8221;]Use the \u201cLost your password?\u201d function on the login page. You&#8217;ll receive an email that lets you set a new password. Personalised products such as badges, Velcro labels or name tags need additional production time, usually 2\u20133 weeks. All times are estimates and not binding. Express delivery is available on request for an extra charge.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How much does shipping cost?&#8221;]We ship with Swiss Post. Costs depend on the weight of your order: from CHF 11 within Switzerland, from CHF 27 to Europe and from CHF 40 to the rest of the world. You&#8217;ll find all weight bands on the <a href=\"https:\/\/metal-badge.ch\/en\/shipping-information\/\">Shipping and payment<\/a> page. Customs duties, import charges and VAT may also apply. Swiss public authorities and companies can also pay by invoice, and cash payment is possible in our showroom. For billing addresses outside Switzerland, no Swiss VAT is charged. You&#8217;ll see your price without VAT at checkout as soon as you&#8217;ve entered your billing address.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Can I pay by invoice?&#8221;]Payment by invoice is available to Swiss public authorities and companies only, for orders of CHF 200 or more. As long as your order hasn&#8217;t shipped, it can usually still be changed. For personalised products, changes are only possible until production starts.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;How do I return a product?&#8221;]You can return items within 10 days of receipt. We refund the purchase price excluding shipping costs, provided the goods reach us unused and in their original packaging. Please let us know by email before sending a return.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=&#8221;Does the right of return also apply to personalised products?&#8221;]No. Made-to-order products are excluded from the right of return.
